Psychosexual therapy in London and Online

Difficulties with sexual functioning are common, yet they can be some of the hardest things to talk about, even with those you may be closest to.

Whether you're struggling with desire, arousal, performance, pain, or connection within a relationship, you don't have to navigate it alone or in silence.

My approach to psychosexual therapy

Sexual difficulties rarely have a single cause. My approach draws on an integrated framework that considers the full picture of who you are, acknowledging biological, psychological and social factors.
By working across all of these dimensions, psychosexual therapy can address not just the symptoms, but support an understanding of emotions and feelings about pleasure and intimacy.

What to expect from your session

Psychosexual therapy recognises that sexual wellbeing is influenced by many factors including emotional wellbeing, physical health, relationships, life experiences and personal values.
My approach considers the whole person rather than focusing solely on the symptoms
Alongside talking therapy, psychosexual therapy often includes practical, structured exercises to work through between sessions, at home, in your own time, and within your own boundaries. These exercises are designed to support gradual, sustainable change by helping you explore new ways of relating to yourself, your body, your sexuality, and, where relevant, your partner.

I understand that cost is an important factor when considering therapy, so I've outlined my fees clearly

Starting Therapy FAQ

Is psychosexual therapy only for couples?

Many individuals seek psychosexual therapy. You might want to understand your relationship with intimacy, confidence, desire, sexuality, or sexual wellbeing. Individual psychosexual therapy can provide a valuable space for reflection and self-understanding.

Will therapy involve any physical contact or activity during sessions?

No. Psychosexual therapy is talking therapy. Any exercises suggested to support progress are carried out privately at home, at your own pace, and only ever with your agreement.

Does my religion, culture, or personal beliefs matter in this process?

Yes, absolutely. Our experiences of sex, intimacy, relationships, gender, and sexuality are often shaped by our culture, faith, personal values, family background, and life experiences. Psychosexual therapy offers a space to explore these experiences with curiosity, sensitivity, and respect. My role is not to tell you what your values should be, but to help you better understand your experiences in a way that feels authentic and meaningful to you.

How long will I/we need psychosexual therapy for?

Some people seek support around a specific issue related to sex and intimacy and find that a relatively brief period of therapy is sufficient. Others choose to engage in longer-term work. We can discuss your hopes and expectations during our initial consultation and review these as the work develops.
